How do I get rid of wild bamboo that my neighbor planted along our fenceline that is growing out of control?

Question:

Answers:
This isn't a very environmental answer but...bamboo is a weed and very tough to kill. Chop is down as low as you can. Then let is sit and start to send shoots up. It is now in an active growth phase.hit it with a concentrated dose of Round-up. It will take the chemical to the roots and kill it. May need to do it a second time. Also if you have kids or pets, keep them away from the area for the day.

Its not a environmental answer.but.its a very tough plant to get rid of.

Good luck

You don't !!

Sorry, but bamboo is a very invasive and hard to get rid of plant. Since your neighbor planted the bamboo it's probably a safe bet that they will not be getting rid of it any time soon. All you can do (because it WILL keep spreading to your yard) is mow it down, or weedwack it, as soon as it pops up.
rent a couple pandas from the zoo..lol.
or get a goat
you neighbor is responsible for containing this invasive plant! tell him you don't want it in your yard!! he must have it removed from your property and build a container wall to keep it from spreading,,,, you can take him to court.. if you try to come to terms with him and he refuses, that may be your only choice as you could be held liable if you try to kill it on your side and you kill his side too!
