How to keep flies from entering my house?

Question:We usually have cookouts and flies get into our house and its driving me crazy. They still come in after the cookout. Does anyone have suggestions or remedies to keep flies away?

Answers:
I use "baggies" with about an inch of water in them, thumbtacked on the doorframe. Wind moves the water and seems to keep the flies away. I learned this at mobile BBQ trailers that have them near the takeout window.

Old timers swear by putting water in a ziplock baggie with a penny inside and hanging it by the doorway. I don't know how it works, but it does.
u can line up some frogs on your windows
Sorry it is inevitable. It's like trying to keep moths out at night when you have the porch light on and try to go through the front door. No matter how hard you try theres always one stupid moth that finds it way in.
I didn't believe it until we did it.zip lock quart size bags 1/2
filled with water nailed to something near the doorways. I have heard that something more reflective in the baggie (broken bits of a cd, aluminum foil) helps too, but we don't.
We used to get quite a few (not swarms) attracted by dog crap, trash, grease on bar b q. Now, almost zero.
Even when not in direct sunlight, the water reflects light which very much disturbs the eyes of flies, knocking them off balance. Seen a close up of fly eyes? Hundreds of little eyes in each eye.
