How do i find out the year my house was built by using the internet for free?

Question:I want just the year. Because everything in the house I'm renting seems really old with those windows that need at stick to hold them. I need instant, free results.

Answers:
You should be able to find out on the county recorders website. They should list all information about all property in the county. Such as, year built, dementions, tax information, sale price, owners name, sale dates, new additions, square footage, type of material used to build it, mortgage company, appraisal value, pictures of the house, how many rooms, bedrooms, baths, if insecticides were sprayed around your area by the city, it is all there. Do a search in a search engine with your county name, city and state and the website should come up within the hits. If there is no website, which is possible if it is a small county, call the recorders office and give them your address and they can look it up for you in a matter of seconds while you are on the phone.

have to goto the city inspection office to get the date
www.zillow.com
you don't !! who cares when houses are built, unless they are signifcant for some reason,, like castles, mansions, or really old homes of famous people? the data base would be impossible to list everyones home!! go to you local court house or zoning board,, they have info on what was build where and when in your area. this is usually free info.
I don't think you can get that info from the Internet...I would call the tax assessor, he has the information because he needs to value the home by the year, this information is open to the public.
