My neighbours pigeons are a nuisance?

Question:They are constantly on my roof and as a result my gutters are always full of pigeon crap

Before I poison them

is there a way to discourage them from landing on my roof

Answers:
Try rubber snakes on your roof. I don't think you'll have too much success poisoning them, as new birds will replace those that died.

There's a reason these birds are called feathered rats.

If you have to clean up their dirt and/or carcasses, it's a good idea to wear a dust mask. I cleaned a warehouse once full of pigeons and came down with Histoplasmosis. Thank God I was 20 and "indestructible" at the time. I remember being strangely sick, but was partying too hard to care. Then, 10 years later, a routine chest x-ray revealed a "calcified legion on my lung." I though, "Oh Boy! Hear we go!" The doctor explained that Histoplasmosis is endemic in parts of the USA and a healthy immune system usually is all it takes.

I'd still take precautions, though.

Host a scarecrow !
how are you going to poison them?

You could politely ask your neighbor to clean out your gutters ... put a cat on your roof ... get a bird scarier
They are trying to tell you something. Just move out.
