ANTS!! How do I make them go away?
Question:Okay I woke up this morning to find my balcony covered in ants! How do I get rid of them in a humane way. Or if that is not possible, how do I get them to go away and stay away? If I go out there they'll attack! Help!

g/l ive been trying to get rid of mine for 2 years now.the only thing that i have found that helps a little bit is to put salt around the house
if by humane you mean not hurting or killing them, there is no way to get rid of thousands of ants. except maybe getting a new balcony.
You may think I'm crazy but I've used grits since I was little to get rid of ants.What happens is the ants will eat the grits then they'll find water to drink and the grits will swell and they explode.At least this is what was told to me buy a neighbor when I was little.I don't care why it works it just does.Just don't sprinkle the grits before it rains because it will not work if it gets wet before ants eat it.Use ant baits for inside your house.
Take a cup of sugar and put it in the corner of your yard. The ants will not go near your house and feed on the sugar. I do that here in Arizona and it works really well or another thing you can do if you want to do the sugar and then get vinegar and water mixed in a spray bottle and spray your porch it will kill them but you will still have to put the sugar out the water and vinegar is just a little help that will keep them from coming in your home tell the colony finds the sugar.
its really esay to get ride of ants all you need is two things first a ball of yarn and a jar of honey (yellow string works best) place the ball of string were most of the ants are and on that one ball of yarn put the honey the ants will be atracted to the yellow but whene they get to the yarn they will get stuck to the honney wait one day then throw out the yarn.
