Is there any other british small black shiny spiders, that are not related to the black widow?

Yeah I agree with the guy above. Native British spiders tend to be hairy (probs becuase it's so cold here), but with the climate warming the black widow related spiders (False Black Widow) that came over on banana boats that would normally die in the winter are now surviving and multiplying. Currently, some are found in the South and can give a nasty bite that might mean a visit to hospital, but not fatal.
As far as I know, there are no other spiders that resemble the black widow, apart from the false black widow, in the UK. I hope not anyway!

None of our spiders are related directly to the black widow and are all totally harmless !!
