Question:where I can buy those boots with spikes? The ones used to climb telephone poles? I have a tree I want to climb when I get home and I need some way to get up there.

If you can't use a rope and pully.then hire someone to do it for you.
I believe they are called crampons (?)) it is a strap on affair with spikes on them that you slam into the tree with your leg and foot and then the next one to climb higher. Takes good muscle, strength and also a strap to go around the tree that you raise up with each step when climbing. From watching tree climbers at my place in NC.
those spikes are not on the boots they are called gafs,or spurs,and they are straped to your boots. the spike sticks out from your instep so that you can climb a tree or pole.gafs,spurs are adjustable ,and the spikes are different sizes.depending if you want to climb a tree or a pole. it is not good to use these on a live tree unless you are going to cut down the tree [it will scar it up ].
