Am I responsible for the branches that overhang into my neighbor's yard?
Question:I live in the state of Ohio, US.
Answers:
He can trim the trees to the property line; but your trees deserve better, hire an arborist. Don't you want to keep your neighbor happy? Work with them to solve the problem. Responsible if they damage his property? Ask an attorney. But I think under certain circumstances you are responsible.
Responsible for disposal of brush? Be Responsible.
I would think so, if the tree is in your yard and the branches hang over into their yard, it is still coming from your tree. GL
yes you are i believe. in every case ive ever heard of the person who has the tree in their yard is the responsible party. Id keep it trimmed back very good to avoid any damages to their house or vehicles
I would say yes. It is still connected to your tree. Simple solution is to cut the limb off. My tree has that same problem, but when, I offered to rake the leaves in the fall, my neighbor said not to worry, he didn't mind the leaves. He likes the tree.
in my town it goes by whereever the base of the plant is. If the tree leans over to their yard then you would be responsible for trimming/upkeep. but leaves and such are not your responsibility.
but in my cousins town it is by your yard your plant. so if the branches are in their yard and they have a problem with it they can cut them... without the neighbors permission.
I would just call up your city and ask them
goodluck
Ask your neighbor. If he doesn't mind raking and you don't mind if he trims the branches on his side of the property, you and he and the tree can coexist peacefully. If he'd prefer you to trim the branches, do it. If they come down in a storm and squish his car or something, you may want to talk to your insurance company.
NO the branches on his / her side of the property line are his to cut at the property line if he /she chooses.might want to trim them for your neighbor 1 for good relations 2 to avoid serious hack job on your tree
