How do you get rid of gnats?

Keep the trash out and keep everything clean.
If you have houseplants they could be causing the gnats. I was told by someone to use moth balls in my plants to keep gnats away. I know for sure it keeps rabbits away from my outside plants. I honestly haven't tried it inside yet, but I have seen positive results outside. Also, if you have any fresh fruit out that could cause them so maybe consider putting that in the refrigerator.
