Angels trumpet?

Question:Has anyone heard of this plant? Its blooms open at night closes by noon next day.I have one and people have told me they are fairly rare.does anyone have any info about this?

Answers:
Angel trumpets are a beautiful blooming plant but it has become illegal to sell them in certain municipalities in the state of Florida. They have toxic properties, and have gotten the reputation as a hallucinogenic when smoked, which sometimes lead to death of the smoker. it is a shame that such a beautiful plant had be banned because of idiots. check your local laws to see if they are even allowed in your area. i would hate for you to be growing a "controlled substance".

I have one and no one has ever told me it was rare.
I have several of those. They're fast growing, attractive, and they flower abundantly. They attract a certain type of moth, which is a show in itself. I recommend them, and any garden center should have some.
Yea..they are illegal to grow in some places, due to dumb people using them as a drug. Then they die. Way to go for them. Anyways they were grandfathered in if you had them growing on your property before a certain date. But no never seen them close before my neighbors has them in his yard. Beautiful flowers.
