Why hasn't my lemon tree grown any lemons in the last 12 years?
Question:I keep the tree indoors and feed it regularly. the leaves smell of lemon but it hasn't produced any fruit.
Answers:
For lemon trees the temperature needs to be fairly consistent and they need plenty of light. Over watering or not enough light could be some of the reasons for it not fruiting, although in the UK it is difficult to get fruit. I would suggest watering less to imitate the arid lands were they grow naturally and a warmer more sunny spot if possible. Have a look at the website on lemon trees at the bottom and good luck with it.

Probably not a lemon tree - sorry.
Needs very hot dry conditions.
Your first problem is you keep the tree indoors. The reason fruit trees and any other plant that makes fruits or nuts or anything to the such needs other trees or plants of same species. You need this because they have male and female species of plants just like humans. There is no telling which is which but as long as you have two trees together or someone else has a lemon tree near by they will cross pollinate. Birds and bees help with this process as the tree buds and blooms. With the tree being indoors you have all the light and water it may need but not the pollination. Hope this information helps ya.
Just like people, it takes two to pollinate. Get another lemon tree and the bee's will do the rest.
