a bottle of dawn and your garden hose. circle the mound, heck, just go nuts with the stuff and slowly drowned the buggers! The soap sufficates the ants and Ive never seen dawn kill grass. dont blast the water, you'd just send ants in new directions :0)

Go to the phone book and look up pest control and let the pros take care of this. That size of red ant hill is to much to do a do-it-yourself. And this needs to be done the sooner the better. These ants can kill small animals and hurt kids.

The easiest method we have found for a sure kill is to Boil a Big Pot Of Water and Add I cup of Bleach to it. Pour it over the mound and I promise you they will die. Gasoline will also Kill a Fire Ant Mound but it will also kill the Grass , and at the price of Gas Now adays, Boiling Water and Bleach is the best way to go..
use Acclaim ... it gets rid of all crawling insects
