What's your a/c set at?
Question:i was wondering what normal air conditioning temperatures were b/c people tell me my house is freezing and would rather sit outside then inside i keep it 67-68 degrees in summer and in winter i never run the heater and if my husband complains i'll put it on 58 degrees for a few minutes i was just wondering how much different the temperature is in my house then in others.

i keep mine for financial reasons at 70 but would much prefer to be at 68 degrees---in the winter we keep the temp at 68

wow-that's pretty freaking cold for air conditioning. your electric bill must be something in the summer. mine is set at 78 which is what the power company recommends. we turn it down to about 75 at night for sleeping.

I have my a/c set to about 78 fahrenheit. (Incidentally, my house is currently on the market, and I was shocked and appalled to come home one day to find that a prospective buyer had the audacity to set it to 60... and leave it that way! Felt like a meat locker; plus, a horrible waste of power & money.)

In the summer I set my central AC to 72 degreed and in the winter I set the thermostat to 68 degrees.
