Any ideas on decorating my office cubicle to represent the great state of Texas?
Question:I need to keep it simple, and I only have one day to get it done. I already have boots, a hat, and the state flag. I would really like to build on these items.
Answers:
You could put a big star in there.right in the middle.since it is the lone star state.I like that because it doesnt say TEXAS but it implies it..you can find many online...google "lone star" of YAHOO lone star...sorrry yahoo
What about your state flower? Our office just had an office cubicle decorating contest and I didn't participate because I thought it was cheesy. lol. :)
Three words. Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders!
Beers, steers, and queers
Maybe cover the floor in cow pies and put a bunch of heat lamps on the ceiling.
Add the flavor of culture to it by loosing several thousand flies in there, and make everyone who comes in start talking like they dropped out of third grade.
That ought to be Texas to a T!
go to one of those texas stores in most malls and get some bluebonnet items, and a few things with the state flag on them, they will have post cards you can fram, a mouse pad, a trash can. Have fun !!
Bring in a bag of horse manure.
I totally agree with stuart. Place a cactus on guests chairs. make em drink milk direct from cows udders. after the meeting, shoot the chief guest in the head like jesse james.
A Bar-B-Que Pit for one idea. A sign pointing North for directions to the Yankees that got kicked out of their own miserable State. Posters from The Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept.com would be cool.
Bluebonnets. You just can't go wrong with Bluebonnets.
Some theme music would be nice, if that's allowed. Willie Nelson would work.
So would postcards from Texas. You know, the Alamo, the San Jacinto monument, a good shot of a field of bluebonnets somewhere near Brenham, etc.
If you have a freezer nearby, you could offer scoops of Bluebell ice cream, if you can find it.
Texas is also know for it's grapefruit and oranges so you might want to make a basket with these items and share with others afterwards.
There might be a picture of Texas online you could print out (I am thinking of keeping your costs down).
If you want to bring in Texas for everyone, you could make a HUGE crockpot of chili to also share afterwards. Lots of Texas Chili recipes online.
Bluebonnet Flowers or packages of seeds.
