Whats the best way to get rid of woodlice in my utility room?
Question:i have woodlice living in my utility. The are hiding in between a barely there crevice between the original wall of the house (below the airbricks) and the concrete floor.i keep the fridge freezer and also two guinea pigsin the utility room so am unsure as to whether i can use any chemicals.any advice would be a help thanks

Woodlice thrive in damp, dark places like under stones. They are harmless and do no damage to plants. By improving the ventilation (check the air bricks in the underfloor area for blockages) the decrease in dampness should cause them to move out. If they're getting into the house you need to seal any gaps around the utility floor. That's the best bet - keep them from entering in the first place.
You may be able to seal the gap with some grey caulk. Check the seal on your exterior door (if there is one) too.
Wish I knew cos I have the little blighters coming up small gaps near skirting boards. Just hope my joists and floorboards are still safe!!
i had this problem get some woodlice killer from your local d.i.y shop, its like talcum powder , go outside and sprinkle it around the base of your brickwork and door if there's one near your utility? did the job for me not had one in the house for ages now? there harmless enough,but you feel a bit dirty don't you? try it and let us know how you get on..i bet you a pound to a penny to a bucket of s**t it works?
