Has ANYONE built an 'adult' treehouse?
Question:I saw an awesome article in a mag about "build your own treehouse from $6000." --however misplaced my magazine...anyway have YOU so someone you know has built a liveable treehouse in the US or in another country?
Have you been in one?
Also can you give me some leads online to find out more info?
I know my husband won't like it that I shall invest my money someday to do this...but YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE and I by all means intend to do this, as it represents my free-spirit + how doesn't like attuning with nature?

An adult tree house sounds awesome. What a great place to get away for some "alone time." If you remember what magazine you saw the plan, contact that magazine, via letter or e-mail. One thing you have to take into consideration, is to what the building codes are in your area. Try looking online for some plans. I wish you all the best & I hope you're able to build your treehouse. You're right.we only live once. I like your attitude. See if Lowe's or Home Depot have such magazines in their stores.
P.S. I think your treehouse needs a name!!

I am sorry that I cannot fully answer your question. I do however want to share with you my thoughts about this. I have a very dear friend who in fact did that. This also was a mad? dream of there's. They followed there dream, they designed and built there fantasy. they lived,loved, and gave birth to a child in the tree house. They documented there lives while in the tree house. They have videos and journals of there lives during those years. They intended on writing a book about there experience but never did...? Living in a tree house was always one of my biggest fantasies as a child so it was quite intriguing to me to be lucky enough to have come across people who lived out what was and always will be a fantasy for me. If you don't have children as of yet , have a healthy emotional relationship, and are both free-spirited then I say take the journey. !.....laceyemerill
PS. I want to add that allthough I personally would never live in a tree house anymore because of life circumstances. I will definetly build one someday..I say go for it !!
