Im looking to buy an in ground pool?
Question:Im in the houston area, and im looking for an affordable in ground pool, does anyone know how much they usualy run? Also, who are some good pool builders in the area?

For the DIY person an inground linered pool kit will cost you between $5000 and $15,000 plus your labor.
For an inground gunite pool the sky is literally the limit. Pricing is usually based on volume of water it holds and the style of pool. Adding accessories such as fountains, etc will keep the price going up. If you want a screened enclosure expect to add on another $10,000.
My total pool price installed w/enclosure, pool lights, salt water chlorintor, 2 fountains and paver decking was $42,000.
However, I'm in Florida, but I can only imagine prices would be about the same in Texas. Your best bet would be to get local recomendations. I personally got three from the Gardenweb pool forum http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/pools/... and wound up using one of them! Or just ask neighbors, friends or coworkers from some recommendations.

in ground pools will set you back $50-60 grand. above ground pool is much more inexpensive.
