Kitchen Renovation: would like to vent the stove top from behind rather than above..?
Question:I know the Jenn-Air rangetops have a side vent as opposed to the typical range hood - - I'm looking for something akin to a backsplash (there is a window behind stove, that I don't wat to block)
- has anybody seen this?
- is there a special name? supplier?
- any thoughts?

Mine goes sideways behind a fake cupboard door. It matches the kitchen and looks good.

This would something that a designer would custom design sand have fabricated. The fan motor is readily available. The housing would either match the cabinets or some architectural component. Beware. Heat rises. No side or rear vent system ever made will act as well as a good overhead system.
