How do you get a lucky bamboo to grow new shoots out of it?

Question:My lucky bamboo plant has only one shoot coming out of it right below where it was cut when i got it. But my friend has one that has three to four shoots off of his. He will not tell me what he did so i come to you for help. Please

Use some Lucky Bamboo Fertiliser. That's what it's called.

make sure it has fresh water- change it every week or so. you might try some Miracle Grow Root & Bulb Starter.
