Is in normal for an above ground pool to get very lumpy in the bottom a couple of weeks after installing it?

You did not prep the LZ! You have to level and clear the ground of all rocks and sticks and make sure the soil compacted. I put down a huge tarp, a layer of old carpet, a second tarp, an then set the pool upon that. nm
It should not, but if you did not use sifted sand and level it off after pounding it down it might. Your most serious issue could be a hole and water is coming up under the sand disturbing it. Watch your waterline to see if you are losing water.
the ground wasn't properly tamped (packed down) before the pool was filled, so you will have some areas that are not level.
sorry but the bottom should of been wetted down and stamped till almost rock hard...then liner should of been installed...oooopppps
