To keep wild rabbits and other small pests away, Pro-Tecs makes a natural repellent that exploits rabbits' dislike of the smell of garlic. A concentration of garlic that, according to Pro-Tecs, is "about 1000 times stronger than garlic juice," is contained in a Pro-Tecs repellent clip. Youy attach these repellent clips to your garden plants to repel pests. Each clip is said to last 6-8 months. Of course, a major selling point for a garlic-based repellent is that it's organic pest control.
Another good deterrent is pepper spray which you can make by buying HOT peppers from the grocery (fresh produce) and boiling them in water, then letting the water cool down. Then spray on your plants.
You can also keep rabbits away by planting lavendar or catnip. They don't like the smell.
White oil recipe:
For the concentrate mix 1 cup of cooking oil with 1 teaspoon of dish washing liquid and 1/2 cup of water. To prepare the concentrate for use, dilute 40ml in 1 litre of water, mix the spray well and spray pests, and plants about once a fortnight. Avoid spraying on palms, ferns, or plants with hairy foliage and do not spray in hot weather as this can cause leaf burn.
