What does it cost to have home exterminated for termites?

Question:just need general idea? I have a very small home & would like to know the general price range

Answers:
It depends on how many colonies are at the house and how much damage they have done. They can be expensive.

Hi April

For a treatment in 2003, we have had active termites coming through the concret floor, we paid $ 850. Last treatment of active termites December 2006 was $ 500. These are WA prices.
All termite treatment prices vary according to the size of the home. Conventional liquid treatments (about 700-1500)tend to be cheaper than bait systems(1000+).
Make sure to get several estimates and choose the method that you feel most comfortable with. The guarantee is very important as most treatments are only guaranteed for about a year with annual renewals to keep the warranty up. Kinda like insurance for termites.
Also make sure the person doing the job has enough experience and knows what he is talking about. You can get information on treatments and techniques at your local agricultural extension service or online. Information is power and the more you know- the better treatment you are likely to get.
