How do you tell when to pick a jalapeno pepper off the plant?

Yes, you have to pick them when they are green, just the same way you see them in the market. If you don't pick them at this point they will turn red. Have a happy jalapeno harvest!


hold the pepper in your hand bend it upwards and if it comes off the plant it's ready if not let it be until it's ripe.
2 inches or above is about normal...
