What is one supposed to do with gas left over from the prior mowing season, which is no good anymore?

Question:Is there someplace you can take it for disposal?

Answers:
Yes, gasoline can go bad from moisture, particles like rust, and of course age.

Call your local waste management facility (garbage company), and ask them. They should be able to give you the number for the closest hazardous waste disposal facility. If you look in the first 20 pages of the phone book, which has local government, emergency response listings...you may be able to find it there as well. Hazardous waste facilities have drop off area's for different materials...so call ahead so you know where your going.

Why wouldn't it be good anymore? We just use ours.
gas doesn't freeze- it should be just fine.
I use it, but if your worried about it going bad I would put something like Sta-bill which is a petroleum stabilizing product which you should be able to find at your local Wal-Mart
