How to price items at yard sale...?

Question:I have a few pricey things that are very lightly used.
I know people want a bargain at yard sales, so how should I price these items?

Sony Camcorder- Retail $250.00
55 Gallon Fish tank- Retail $ 200.00
Nintendo 64 with memory card, 2 controllers and 21 games?
Brand new 2007 board games
BURTON Snowboard (just the board) Retail $250.00?

HELP ME PRICE THESE IM STUCK!

Answers:
For the Camcorder, Nintendo, snowboard, and board games, you'd be better off selling them on Ebay.

You could also post an ad with pictures on Craigslist.com for free. I have had a lot of luck both buying and selling on that website.

For the fish tank, I'd suggest craigslist, not ebay, because the shipping costs would be prohibitive.

People who go to yard sales do not want to spend more than 10 bucks on anything, no matter how nice. You will get rid of your stuff fast at a yard sale, but you won't get the most money for your items.

I've heard you ask for 1/3 original price unless its price automatically declines after you buy it like clothing. And if anyone is interested in the item but thinks the price is too high, you can bargin with them.
price them as if you were the one going to buy them at your sale..make it a reasonable price for those items..you cant expect to make almost as much.just use your buying talents to think of how much you would pay.good luck
I think for those things I would use Ebay to sell them. That's what I do for nicer things like that. I seem to get better prices on Ebay. Or set a decent yard sale price and stick with it. If it doesn't sell, try Ebay.
