Tree Boars?
Question:I believe I have tree boars and they are spreading to the rest of my trees. Does anyone know what to do to get rid of them? I tried to look them up but couldn't find anything. Please help.
Answers:
What makes you think you have borers? If you see holes in the branches or trunk they are exit holes and the borers have already left.
But if you're pretty sure you have borers you can get liquid concentrates (as mentioned above) or systemic granular insecticides that you spread on the ground and it gets dissolved by water and the roots take it up and makes the sap poisonous killing the borers. Which you will use depends to a large degree on the size of the trees. Check with your L&G Tech for help.
If the tree is over 25' you may need to call a tree doctor. They can give the larger trees injections of restricted insecticides. These are very effective but expensive.
PS Check the web under borers instead of boars.
THEY HAVE SPECIAL SPRAY FOR BOARS AT THE FARM SUPPLY STORES, IT COMES IN A CONCENTRATE YOU MIX WITH WATER AND SPRAY THE TREE, VERY EFFECTIVE*
you should get a expert for this, some pests are controllable and some are not. Also to successfully spray the trees you will need high powered and high capacity sprayers that only pros would own.
