Wheres a good free source to find antique value??

Question:I have a 3 legged chair that Ive been told might be of some value. Thank you!

Answers:
Take it to a dealer who buys antiques and ask what he would pay you for it and what he would sell if for.

Check ebay for similar items.
Are ther any markings on bottom or underside of chair?
If there are then google those names and see what pops up, you'd be surprised what you can learn..
