How do I make a cockroach trap?

I went to a talk on bugs by a bug PhD. I haven't tried the trap but he swears by it. They have to use organics to keep roaches out of the butterfly museum where he works.
sticky glue or glue boards, sugar or other food crumbles that are fragrant. place in dark corners and under things.
