Besides chopping the tree off, turning the A.C. on or closing the windows, how can I quieten the 4.AM Birds??

Dummy owls work good and they are inexpensive,buy a pair for both sides of tree.they hoot when bird aproches and thier eyes light up.

i really don't think there is a way..maybe there is something around your house that attracts the birds try to find it and get rid of it if possible
There is really no reasonable way to do that. Seriously.
Earplugs. The foam ones are very comfortable. Just turn your alarm clock volume all the way up.
I use a good water gun when they won't let me sleep.
Buy a noisy fan and place close to your bed. you will get used to that noise easier than the birds, and it will camouflage the bird chirps.
The birds aren't going anywhere. The best thing you can do is try to soundproof your room. Close the windows. If you say you don't want to close them then the birds can't be bothering you that much.
