Why do some hand towels change color when they become wet?

Question:I recently bought a new set of green hand towels and after one use of washing my hands they bagan to change to a yellow-orange color. I know I did not have any soap left on my hands that could possibly bleach them; just water.

Answers:
They could have been improperly dyed. Dying is more complex than just putting color on, you have to prepare the fabric properly, then use agents to set the dye. For many dyes there are heat and time elements as well.
If you are unhappy with the look of your new towels after a few uses, you can re-color them yourself, I do this all the time with various garments and other fabrics - although the colors are not always predictable.
I use mostly Procion MX dyes from Jaquard which you can get at an art store, but RIT works too. If I'm starting with a darker color I will bleach it down, then dye it back up following the dye manufacturers directions.

It's the mark of Satan.
Destroy them, and bring in a priest to throw holy water on your home.
Also, get a Druid to burn some sage bundles in the room, just in case.
