How can I get rid of a moskito?!?
Question:I've had one in my bedroom for 3 days now. I can't catch it - I have this UV light-trap on that's suppose to attract it and trap it inside, I have one of those smelly lamps that you plug in the electricity and they supposedly repel insects... I can't go spraying everything with poison, because this is where I sleep!
How can I catch the bugger? I'm allergic to insect bites so every time he bites me I wake up with a huge allergic reaction! :(

Okay..use the vacuum cleaner hose and wand. Works great. No poison and no chasing it around the house. Works great with wasps too.
i dont know. i guess just spray yourself with off so you do not get bit?

A small shot or Raid in the room will do the trick. If you don't like pesticide, close the door when you spray and open the window about 15 minutes later to air it out.
leave your door open and put a little water in the bathroom sink-in the a.m., thats where you'll find him!

open the windows of the room and "gass" it with febreeze... it'll have a similar effect as bugspray (only much lighter of a poison) and it should leave through the window.
It worked for me, I hope this helped and good luck. I like the vaccum idea tho, but I think it might not have enough suction depending on the model. I'd give that a try first :)

Mosquitos are attracted to carbon dioxide. Lowes sells mosquito traps that attract the mosquito with carbon dioxide vipor. Don't sleep in the room with this trap, and air out the room after using the trap.
go to home depot and ask 4 a spray that has a strong mint smell n it s in a yellow can.don t remember the name but it works,,,, u have to have windows closed (if any in the room) n door also. sleep on the couch that night.one night is nthn.next day leave door n windows open for fresh air n say bye-bye to the little bastard!!oh! also that spray lasts 4 a couple of days( 4 the insects not you) so u can sleep in peace.
To the best of my knowledge a mosquito only lives for three days. I also know they bite you for your blood, so they can lay there eggs. So if you have any stale water in your room like a fish bowl with no fish or a glass of water that's been on the dresser for weeks, I would think you might have a fly and being bitten by spiders. You might ask your parents to leave for a day and use a bug bomb in the house. Good luck
I know that is where you sleep but the best thing to do is to close up the room and spray it while you are away. You could also spray him directly but you have to move very quickly. Additionally, you could also wait until he lights on you and just as he is getting ready to bite you can can slap him hard.
