How much does 1-800 Got Junk charge to get rid of a small amount of junk?

They charge by volume, and measure it by how high it sits in the truck. Their fee is pretty high, but they did all the loading down several flights of stairs.
In my town, dump fees are $10-15; they charged $100. Now granted, that included two guys and a truck plus 20 miles travel.
Bottom line, much cheaper for you to go yourself.

I think they make double or more off you,
1. they charge you for removal.
2. They sell your junk for profit.
You should just sell your junk on Ebay. You'd be surprised. One man's trash is anothers treasure.
