What is the best way to get catch a cockroach?
Question:I have a few roaches in my house and they usually come out at night and also they fly. What is the best way of catching them without using chemicals.
Answers:
Buy the roach traps and place them around the house.
I had them in my old apartment, and I placed them under the refrigerator, under the sink, and other places where it was warm and moist (roaches thrive in these environments).
There are no harmful sprays, and after a few weeks, the roaches are completely gone!
they fly? are they drain roaches? if they are just cover up all your drains in the shower, and all sinks.
An open can of dog food and sticky paper next to it. You could call it the Fido Hotel.
Hmm im sure they have sticky traps that cockroaches are attracted to and will go into, But the thing is when you catch em, more will probally come. So i would look for the source of the problem say how they enter your house. Keep screens on all your windows and make sure theres no cracks where they can enter. It would be smart if you keep an eye out to see where these critters are entering your home out. Just for some random information, cockroaches will survive even if their head is cut off (till they starve to death), and would survive a nucleaur explosion.
Well any way i hope you get rid of them.
You can buy little " roach traps " at hardware stores and most groceries in the home section. Place them where roaches travel and you will begin seeing less of them.
As a sidenote; while stationed in S.E. Asia we had very large cockroaches. In our dayroom we would tack a piece of bread or meat halfway up from the floor on the wall. We would sit there and quietly talk as these big roaches started climbing the wall. We had sets of darts and we would target the roaches. Got pretty good at it. Cheap thrills for bored guys. lol-lol
I'm sure you want to try the easy way,i.e. roach traps-but when our hired man's wife came into our house, we got a huge in-festation of cockroaches and had to call the exterminator as they breed like crazy-you can see egg sacs on their backs.
He told us her clothing had some eggs on and that is how we got them in our house. They can also come in in grocery bags as they are a nightmare to grocery stores.
The exterminator did the job and we never had them ever again in the 18 years in that house. When the hired man moved out of their house, we went over and found them by the hundreds on the rolled up window shades and had to have those exterminated. No idea why they favored that location but he told us to check the shades and sure enough.
They carry diseases-usually come out at night and when you turn the lights on, they clear out of the area and hide fast so you have no idea how many you might have lurking in your facilities. It is worth the cost to have them professionally gotten rid of. For the few you trap there are probably hundreds hiding-do you need the stress.
