Boric acid is pretty effective and cheap and not toxic to humans.
Some people say cucumbers are effective and keeping them away, I never tried it. For an infestation though you have to spray with pesticide. These bugs are tenacious and hard to get rid of.


Bay Leaves keeps them away. i would also recommend the spraying arond the perimeter of your home if you can.
Spray the outside of your house with strong bug killer. Use boric acid behind all of your appliances and in all of the cabinets throughout your house.
Baking soda sprinkled behind the toilet, under the sink, and in other areas roaches hide. Be aware that this remedy should not be used if you have pets.
