What task at home do you dislike to do and would be willing to pay me in charlotte nc to do for you.?
Question:I am looking to start a business hopefully doing backdoor trash pick ups in the charlotte nc area. After working in the industry for years I am frustrated with how the bigger companies put profits over customer service and how certain employees could basically care less.I am prior military and I truly believe in customer service.Having 4 boys I think its High time I step up and at least try something on my own so my family and I can control our own destiny.Any suggestions on pricing i should offer to get started or any Ideas that would help enhance this type of service e-mail me back.Thanking you in advance.
Answers:
i own my own business and let me tell you, customer service is the most important aspect. if your customers are satisfied, they will refer you to family and friends and so on, growing like a tree. word of mouth is the most powerful advertising out there, at least for me. however, all services charge differently. its up to you to find out what prices you can charge for what services you will provide, while trying to stay competetive. however, dont sell yourself short just because you're looking for business. when i first started, yes i would take negotiated prices because some business was better than no business, but 3 years later i am able to charge what i want, within reason, and if the homeowner doesnt like the price (i know my services are worth my price) then i have other people waiting in line to pay for me. bottom line, customer satisfaction will make your company grow. some suggestions, stay well organized, have good business cards, be professional while also being a normal person and honest to your customers. i can sit with my customers and bullshit with them about anything, and many people like being able to have someone there to chat with and supporting small "mom and pop" shops rather than the big guys monopolizing everything and leaving customer satisfaction on the backburner.
Where I live I have a guy here in town that picks up for $12 amonth but we are small town. But I'd check around to what the bigger business' are charging and then under cut them at a fair price.
