I did what the mohawk guy did.But I killed it...I had NO intention of killing it...I was trying to "sweep" it towards the window...They are actually very fragile little creatures.Use a blanket and try to toss it on top of the little guy...Then you should be able to just take him outside.
call your local animal control officer,tell them you have a baby at home and are afraid it may bite the child :)
Bat it down with a tennis racket or broom.

In UK bats are protected species therefore need to have specialist advice. They are generally harmless.
