How do you get rid of a really bad ant problem in your house?

It depends what kind of ants they are... if they're carpenter ants, they're almost as bad as termites. Call Orkin... they did a free inspection for me years ago.
Orkin. If you want to buy raid that works too but I think it is messy but both work.
just keep spraying the place with insecticide. wait for them to die. then do it again until none of them appear anymore. that's what i did.
go to your local hardware store and buy some product called ant rid,(it kills them) or put some talcum or baby powder at the problem areas, that should make them move elsewhere,(if you don't want to kill them)!!
Call the local pest control agency. They should be able to do that and for a reasonable price too. Why wanna get ur hands messy with all those chemicals gurl??
Get some of those ant tray things, you just click open the small holes to reveal the gunk in them they that ants love but it doesnt kill them right away until theyve fed some to the other in the nest, it'll get the lot with only a couple of trays:
Put a line of baby powder down where they are and they will not cross it. Or find the spot they are coming from and put baby powder there. Good luck. If they are coming from the front or back door you can put the baby powder there.
I had a really bad ant problem last year, I'm talkin' millions! I tried nearly everything on the market, eventually got sick of spending a fortune and ended up buying a Generic Brand surface spray, sprayed it absolutely everywhere every few days, and after a week or so it got rid of 'em! Only cost me $2!
