How 2 get rid of spiders?
Question:I have a really bad phobia and don't think i can deal with it this year. I get them as home & we've just had 3 big grass spiders in the kitchen in work and i refuse to go in to it and the filing room. I doubt i'll get away with it for much longer. I have a spider spray i use at home around my bedroom window but it doesn't work & they still come in! I've now refused to open the window. Really need some help 2 keep them away from me!!

get some ant spray, that will scare them away but not kill them, otherwise get it 8 suitcases and ask it to start packing!

The wood chestnut keeps them away. They wont go near the wood becuase of the smell or something. If you leave horse chestnuts around they wont go near them. I just sleep with my bedroom window shut, that stops them coming in usually.
you need to face your fear in small steps, try looking a pictures first, then being in the same room, being within a metre, a foot, touching the box, all the way to holding the thing.
you have an irrational fear - a phobia, it cant hurt you.
its natural also cause humans have programming from ancestors who came across hazardous things like poisonous creatures, this is why you know to fear heights, snakes etc.
but the spiders in uk arent poisonous.
don't worry they will not hurt you in any way. plus they are good to have round the house. they eat smaller things.you should give them all names.

Conkers! Spiders hate them for some reason. But you'll have to wait til Autumn. Place conkers around your home, and you won't get spiders.
You can then put some conkers in water, leave for a few days then put the water in a spray bottle to spray around your home when conkers are unavailable.

spiders are good luck - they eat bugs. afterthey have been around a while, it sems they even get to the point where they recognize you. they are some very interesting critters. get over your irrational little-girl fear of tiny animals!
i'm terrified of them. i have a lot of fields around my house and get load of the creatures.dont believe when people they are scared of you believe me they are found them on my bed with me in! they jump at me even my boyfriend is getting scared of them he's never seen them jump before, my daughter was lying her bed reading and felt a tickle on her finger a spider was spinng a web between her fingers!i've heard you can get some device that lets a sound of that humans can't hear and it's sopposed to scare them off i think it was in a betterware catologue or kleenezey
