Household bugs..?
Question:I live in a multistorey set of flats in Hong Kong (no-one I have asked from England knows the answer!). Around my flat I have noticed lots of tiny little bugs that look like specks of dust with legs. I found them on my shoes and at the back of my sofa. Around my flat there are lots of small holes in the wooden floor and skirting boards..are they coming in through here?? what can i do..? Please help!

Sounds like woodworm to me. You must get it checked by a professional and as soon as possible before they destroy the supports of your flat. You could put borax down but I doubt very much that it would get rid of your infestation. All your timber products need to be injected with a specialist treatment.
Just think, they are probably walking all over your face at night, getting into your nose, ears, and every other opening. It's good they are tiny. There are probably billions of them living with you, so it is a good thing they are so small.
What you might try is sprinkling some borate powder along the baseboards or anyplace else you have seen them. Borate is a white mineral, non-toxic to humans and pets, and it has been used as an insecticide for over 50 years. It is similar to borax, the laundry powder, and is the key ingredient in many roach powders. You can eat it in small amounts and it won't hurt you, but it kills bugs. Since it is not a chemical poison, you won't see immediate results. The borate plays havoc with the enmzymes in the insects' gut, killing them over a period of time.
They could be from food - there are some bugs that sound like yours that come from flour, wheat packets etc. Sounds like you need to fumigate your flat.
