Totally different! My stepdad has flowery wallpaper, highly patterned carpets, patterned velour sofa's and artex all over his house! I have simply painted walls and the same plain carpet all the way through my flat, plain back leather suite, with skimmed ceilings (not a bit of artex in sight). He thinks my flat is dead plain and boring!

Well, my mum has got quite modern taste, but I live abroad and where she has carpets for the cold, I have tiled floors because of the heat, but she has a navy blue leather sofa and I have just ordered one, so similar.
Different they come from a different age so like different things to us which is cool cos it would be boring if we all liked the same thing!
Funny you should ask, mine is very similar to my mother's as it relates to colors. I find myself drawn to greens, the main floor of my home is painted different shades of green and so is the owners bedroom. But I reserve the blue for my clothing.

o i dont know my dads 62 and his house is a bit fussy for my liking although i do like the kitchen he's just had put in but i think thats because he asked me to go and choose the tiles with him and he likes carpet because he thinks wood floors are cold!. My mums 49 and we agree on some things but not on other because we like different colours i prefer blues and browns and white and black and she likes more orange and yellow type colours. i think things to be bright and clean looking and i hate clutter. I have oak floors but she likes her laminate floor and i like white kitchens because there clean frsh and she doesn't because she says there a pain to keep clean and show any marks easily i could go on all day.
my mom likes it simple, and bright.

different,way different. i like modern design and my mom likes country crap and western stuff or french stuff. I like blues and greens she is scared of color one could say. She likes neutral colors. I think neutral colors are blah.
