Please help, how should i cut my hydranea?

Question:I just got a hygranea last weekend, its onlly about a foot tall with 5 stems with about 6 good bunches of flowers. My dad dropped a shovel on it while he was putting in the boreder, and it's main and the tallest stem cracked, and is open. I can't see it surviving, because the cut is open, but i tied it up anyways. should i cut it off? How should i cut it, and while the plant and the stem be ok? tx in advance.

Answers:
Watch the injured branches-- if they wilt or brown-- cut them off. The plant probably will survive-- they are tough.
good luck
