Well, I answer for you if woodchucks are the same as groundhogs.
If you want to relocated it and not kill it take a quarter of an apple and roll it in honey and place it in your live trap. They will love the smell and the taste. Just remember that they have an entrance and an exit hole. If you find both ends, cover one of them up with 2 x 4's or some cement blocks and the trap at the other end. Another thing I read was that they can't handle kitty littler. Spread it area the area and the book said that they won't come back to that area.
All the other ways I have kills them.
