Planting cucumbers?

Question:What is the best way to plant cucumbers, how many seeds do you plant in one area and how far apart do you put them?

Answers:
My family raised cucumbers commercially a few years ago. In general, you can plant them in a row about 2 inches apart. After they start sprouting, pull out the weakest plants so that the mature plants are about 6 inches apart. If you can have a depression in the soil to water the plant through it's better than wetting the entire surface and risking mildew on the cucumbers themselves. Keep out the weeds and flood irrigate and you should be good to go..
