For the very best looking go to Berry @4.99 to $5.99. I have never seen better looking, and sounds like the real hardwood.
I installed Armstrong flooring in my son's room about 2 months ago. It was VERY reasonable (less than $100), very easy to install, and so far is standing the "acid test" VERY well (including skates, cleats, and various things being 'dropped' on it.) All I do is wet mop it, and it's gorgeous.

Cheapest I could find was from IKEA and it has been down a year now with no problems at all.
I was also told not to put that think white sheeting underneath but use the thick card tiles, which I did and they seem very good, give a little bounce to the floor and are excellent insulation.
Depends on your budget. I have installed laminate bought at 99 cents a square foot and it has performed just fine.
Check out lumberliquidators.com , they have incredible pricing. I was able to buy solid bamboo prefinished flooring for less than alot of stores charge for laminate, but they have that also.
