What Are These Little Bugs?

Question:This Spring we started seeing these little flying bugs in the house. The look like tiny gnats. I have been buying nontoxic fly catchers. I have to change them every two days because they fill up with about a hundred of these little things. They are so annoying when they fly around. Do you know what they are and what can I buy to permanently get rid of these pesky little things?

Thanks

Answers:
if you have house plants, they may have been over watered...and that is the problem.

add a small amount of dish washing liquid to the water - the next time you water - and that will take care of the problem. :) the dish washing liquid inhibits their ability to fly - thus they can't mate. make sure that plants are not standing in water either.

hope this helps.

i could easily be wrong but the only thing i could think of is fruit flies,,,, they come in hundreds usually. Check around you may have a small piece of fruit thats gone bad or a bit of pop left in a glass will attract them. i had a lot last year and after cleaning everything from top to bottom i realized it was an open empty bottle of wine in the cupboard with just a few drops in the bottom and they were all inside it... it is probally something small and un noticeable.

good luck
