How much bleach would you put in a children's pool to disinfect it?
Question:I know you can do this, since its chemical base is weaker than chlorine, but how much? It is 66 in by 14 in, so how much is safe? How many tablespoons or cups do you put in for that little pool? thanks in advance!

Use bleach to clean it while the pool is empty!
rinse it thoroughly after.
Do not put bleach in the pool water!
Clean it every week. It's not that big that you need to add chemicals.

I use about 1/2 cup in my son's pool that is about the same size.
i have no clue. i wouldn't do that anyways cause it could get into the kids eyes
maybe two cups a day? do it at night, when they're not going to swim in it for a while.
How yellow is the water?
I wouldn't put any bleach in that it seems like it is small enough to wash with a sponge and soap.
Bleach... I wouldnt let my kid swim in that. If the pool is small just refill it. If its is large enought to warrent Chemicals i would use the appropriate. Even tho Bleach is Chlorine based I would use Pool Chlorine as it has been tested safe to swim in.
I wouldn't put bleach in a kiddie pool. It's not that big, so just empty and refill it each time they use it.
you may want to try borax instead--dioxin, a chemical in bleach, is a known human carcinogen, according to the EPA. borax is almost as effective and far less toxic. i love it--it gets rid of mold and mildew in my shower, and if i leave a film of borax mixed with warm water on the tile, the mildew doesn't grow back!
None. Refill the pool when it gets nasty.
I would run to the store in the pool department and get pool chemical and a tester. You don't want too much. The testers are very easy to use
what!! no absolutely not recommended...you're not putting BLEACH in your kids pool while they are swimming in it?!?! Borax is even worse, Please go down to Walmart or your nearest pool store and pick up a bottle of pool chemicals, not bleach.
I agree to just scrub it with bleach and then rinse it THOROUGHLY! I know some people who won't even put bleach in the washer because of it's effect on people. Not good for the kiddies.
