Sprinkler hose question?

Question:I bought a sprinkler hose (the kind that have little holes in them so the water squirts out of the holes). I am wondering if anyone has ever put extra holes in the hose to make more places for the water to come out. I bought one that is made mostly out of recycled tires, and it seems strong enough to be okay to poke more holes in it. Any suggestions?

Answers:
I wouldn't mess with it, you will never be able to get the same diameter hole. Instead go and invest in a dripping system if you want a certain area or plant only, rather then a large area. With that you can put the water directly at the root of the plant. Also, it gives you control over how much water is being use in an hours time.

Good luck.
