I need some extra cash so am organizing a garage/bake/craft sale?

We just had a garage sale and the stuff that went the fastest was anything in great condition. I have a thing about saving the original packaging and boxes and that stuff (baby walker, lamp, stereo) all went the best and for decent prices. The baby items and the toddler toys were our big sellers. Also a huge collection of VHS movies at a buck a piece sold out.
At my friends yard sale, her kids sold cookies and lemmonade (it was a HOT day) and they sold out of both of those.

In a month garage sale will be more popular as kids get ready for school. I would suggest that you put out a winter wardrobe type of clothing, save the summer stuff for a spring garage sale. House hold items like furniture and tables are good too. You are better off taking your antiques to a specialty store to sell.
Computer games and video games and DVDs and Videos go very well.
