How to root a Kwanza Blooming Cherry Tree that has been broken at the base ?
Question:Tree was cut midway and friend wants to take tree or branch of tree and replant in her yard. Is there any special instructions for helping this tree grow ?
Is it similiar to the flower or vine process in which you place in water til it has roots then plant ?
Answers:
try cutting some fresh growth off the tips of the limbs...then dip the stems in a rooting hormone powder.(rootone). then plant it and water regurlary.

Nothing special. Transplant as any other tree. If it makes it, you are ahead. If not, well it was a gonner anyway.
