HELP !! Honey bees have built a hive in my outside wall.?
Question:Honey bees have built a hive in the outer layer of my chimney. They don't get in the house yet. The hole they go in and out of is very high. Any suggestions on how to get rid of them would bee appreciated.

My best advice for you would bee,to contact a exterminator.
I wouldn't suggest taking the bees on yourself. But, if you do, home improvement stores have spray chemicals that shoot about a 20-foot stream from the can. Hopefully you can hit the hole from the ground with that long a stream.
You'll have to do this at night, though, when the bees are back in the hive and mellowed out. Otherwise, the bees will get all agitated and come out to attack you.
Also, if the bees aren't all killed, they may swarm the next day and move to a different location on your property (another hole in the house, a tree, whatever). And, you'll still have the problem.
Best bet: call an exterminator. They come out and eliminate the bees. And, they guarantee their work. But, they aren't cheap (a few hundred $$$ ?).
Call Animal Control, or the Dept. of Agriculture. I know they will come and take them away,Queen and all, relocate them to a farm or something. Bee's are an important part of Agriculture, without them, we wouldn't have fruit,or other things that need Bee pollination! Don't mess with them, they might be Killer Bees! (I meant , African Bees) Bye
Theres alot of people that work with bees that would come & remove them for free for you. Look in your paper or call your local health dept.
You might try a hot fire to smoke them out or make it uncomfortable for them to be there. But be careful, this can be done at night when they are mostly back in the hive and they won't like it much.
Had a similar prob outside an upstairs window. Call an apiarist who will gladly remove them as it gives them a queen bee for free!
Without a fire. You have to get up to the level of the hole either at night and board it closed or in the daytime and prevent most of them from coming back in.
The queen is still there which is a problem. But in the end, she should starve to death.
START A FIRE. IF THAT DOES NOT WORK, HIRE BEEKEEPER
Call a bee keeper they will come and gladly take them off your hands. They will need to locate the queen first and take her and the others will follow to the hive. Simple as that. It would be a shame to have them exterminated since there is a scarcity of them and pollenation is not happening like it should because of the dying off of bees because of diseases they are getting. So, call a bee keeper
It seems like a lot of people have experienced honey bees in their wall. I had the very same problem several years ago.I
called a bee keeper,he came and told me to leave the house while he removed the bees.He kept the bees, I kept some of the honey. Everyone was happy.
